Coach Lionel Crawford was shot last Friday night and is in serious condition.
I sent him an e mail that I would like to share with you.
Dear Coach Crawford:
I will never forget your time at Smiley and North Forest High.
Your support enabled me to accomplish so much in tennis.
Deeply appreciated the way that you stuck up for me when I was being taken advantage of by an inexperienced administrator.
Sincerely thank you for your professional concern for your coaches and players.
You never broke us down-- you built us up and took our teams to highs that we would have never thought possible in high school athletics.
We are thankful for your hard work during the four years that we were blessed to have you in NFISD.
Our prayers are with you and your family.
