Today is September 25th

THIS HAS BEEN AN INTERESTING WEEK.

MONDAY WE PLAYED BARBER'S HILL AT THE LOCAL JR. COLLEGE---rain was coming so we played Pro Sets---in the middle of the 19 matches-- I get a phone call--- my truck-- back on campus-- in a parking spot-- has been hit by a NFISD School Bus--- this is the district that I have worked for---37 yrs-----tried not to share with kids--- we were up against the number one team in tennis in our district and were planning to go to CiCi's to eat--

THEY WERE HONEST--MY TRUCK WAS IN THE SHOP TUES AND THE REPAIRS HAVE STARTED--THANK YOU NORTH FOREST I.S.D. FOR BEING HONEST--THANK YOU FOR GIVING ME A GOOD JOB FOR OVER 37 YEARS-----I AM LIVING MY DREAMS.

LITTLE BUMPS ALWAYS OCCUR ALONG THE WAY.

WE HAD A GREAT PRACTICE GOING FRIDAY AFTERNOON-- ICE POPS FOR THE HEAT AND LUNCH ABLES--THANKS TO THE HUDSON FAMILY--- FOR SNACKS--- THEN WHEN THE KIDS WERE RUNNING THE TRACK FOR CONDITIONING-- ONE OF THOSE POP UP SHOWERS CAME--------( seemed like a flood for 8 min.)

ALL GOOD THINGS HAD TO COME TO A END-------

THANKS FOR A GREAT SEASON-- FEEL THAT THE KIDS ARE LEARNING TO LOVE EACH OTHER--HELPING--LOOKING OUT FOR EACH OTHER-- ONE STUDENT DID NOT HAVE A RIDE AT 5:30-- GOT A CALL FROM JONATHAN-- I AM ACROSS TOWN--- CALLED COACH LANG AND SHE WAS ABLE TO SWING BY AND PICK UP OUR SENIOR-- ALL IS WELL--- SURE SAVED ME A TRIP ACROSS TOWN-- I AM BLESSED TO HAVE GOOD PEOPLE AROUND ME ( My job is to love them---and I do)

THIS IS MY GREATEST-- #40 AND MY LAST----IF I KEEP SAYING IT-- MAY BE ABLE TO BELIEVE IT.

LOTS OF LOVE: COACHES LANG AND HRNCIR

Sat. September 18th: Tennis Practice News

Friday afternoon is a FREE Practice Day-----About 10 players stayed to nearly 7 o'clock to share drills and thrills--visit and share---- so so peaceful.

I really got into reading a book and talking to players-- Ms. Emily from Memorial Park had donated us some good rackets and ones who stayed got first choice------

Barbers Hill is always Number One in our district---but we will do out best in Team Tennis Monday. Plan to go to CiCi's afterward--- only the players who read the blog will know--- secret of reading the blog.

Enjoying three grand daughters today and tonight-- letting the parents have a date night------ 3 year old, 5 year old and 8 year old---never a dull moment. Grandpa has them watching a new Hanna Montana Movie and Grandma is going up stairs to read and fall asleep. I am the only one who hears the girls during the night. Ha

Understand, that many of my players go to the Library on Sat.-- 4th floor--teen room---I remember going to the down town library when I was in college and Grad. school--- Of course, it is alot nicer and modern now.

Don't forget anything for our matches Monday at the Jr. College. Pray NO RAIN

Love, Coach Hrncir and Coach Lang

September 17th

La Shaun Landy won against Crosby last Monday-- 2nd seed playing 2nd seed. We played at San Jacinto Jr. College and everyone played hard and strong. The heat is something else---

Wed. night-- our home alarm went off--- someone was juggling the front door. Blessed that we have an alarm system-- alot of home invasions in our area.

Thursday, I received all of the Health Classes from Coach Madison-- it is all good---we just didn't have enough for two teachers--- she is working in another program and I received good students who want to learn----just wish that I would have been told in advance--- came as a shock-- but, all is good--

Thursday, Ruben brought us ice pops--a treat. and Mr. and Mrs. Hudson had us plums and chips-- and to top it off at about 4:00 we had a rain shower--enough to get us off the courts----seemed t cool everyone down. Special thanks to Coach Mills for coming by and helping me with a couple of my guys--- his expertise is always appreciated.

Today, we do not have official practice-- but I will be there-- in case someone wants to work out till 5:00-- I love to read on Friday afternoon--- my treat to myself and my kids.

We play Barbers Hill at San Jacinto Monday-- need all the support that we can get----

Love, Coach Hrncir and Coach Lang

Others gave their best and won games-- but not matches--we have alot of new folks that just picked up a racket a few weeks ago--- stay with us--- you will improve with practice and determination.

We practiced Thursday and I stayed with a few that stayed Friday-- Ruben was a blessing-- still on the courts when I left at 5 p.m.

We are suppose to play at the Jr. Colege tomorrow-- but the rain is coming back--- we will know more tomorrow--- New UIL rule--- must try to play the next day-- or the next day-- cannot put it off till end of team tennis. Hurts when we got permission to use the courts Monday-- not Tues--- will e mail and text folks to figure it out--- Hope you worked out this last weekend.

We have new folks coming aboard--WELCOME

Stay with us--we are great group and have fun every day!
