November 23rd: HAPPY THANKSGIVING

HOPE THAT YOU SHARE YOUR LOVE WITH YOUR FAMILY ON THANKSGIVING. WE ARE BLESSED BEYOND OUR MEANS ! WE HAVE SO VERY MUCH TO BE THANKFUL FOR AND WE NEED TO TELL OUR LOVED ONES HOW MUCH THEY MEAN TO US.

NO PRACTICE AFTER SCHOOL UNTIL JAN. 2010. MANY OF YOU HAVE TUTORIALS AND GETTING PEOPLE HOME HAS BEEN A PROBLEM. THEREFORE , WE ARE TAKING A BREAK----HOPEFULLY, OUR TENNIS COURTS WILL BE RESURFACED DURING THIS TIME.

Coach Hrncir is looking forward to youngest son coming home from Virginia Nov. 30th and staying 19 days. Plus, oldest son and family are coming from Poland Dec. 12th--- the next three weeks will fly by and semester exams are the week before we get out. Daughter and her three girls have been keeping me busy over the holidays. There is lots of joy in being a Mom and a Grandmother.

Looking forward to Jan. We have four tournaments scheduled--- still not enough---more will be coming in.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Oct. 12th: Women's Conference at the G. R. Brown was GREAT

LOTS OF STRONG WOMEN TALKING ABOUT THEIR ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND WHAT WE AS WOMEN CAN ACCOMPLISH. Ten teachers and admin. staff attended with 50 young ladies Thursday-- especially enjoyed Suze Orman-- she was outstanding.

Friday was a slow day for me-- exhausted from all the excitement Wed. and Thursday.

Picked up Mai, 4 year old grandchild Friday afternoon and she is now shopping at Wal Mart with Grandpa.

Next week is our last week before spring break-------be sure to wash your tennis clothes and bring your clothes in your bag back to me to store in our press box area. WE Start again in Jan. for the Spring Tournaments.

Keep up your good grades.

Oct. 11th, 2009

New Caney had a tournament for beginners only----BUT SOME COACHES--- PUT ADVANCED PLAYERS WITH BEGINNERS TO WIN.

THE IDEA WAS GOOD, BUT NOT EVERYONE FOLLOWED THE GUIDELINES.

We were very proud of Roshonda Ross and Xavier Pierce--- They played B Mixed Doubles and won second place--- lost last pro set 6-8. The other team had an ace player with a beginner.

We do our best-----

Everyone player hard and strong and many folks won at least one out of three pro sets. A good experience over all---we had lots of lunch ables, chips, fruit, etc. We made it back in time to catch the bus home and Mrs. H. got her hair done for her adventure tomorrow.

I tried to get out of going with 50 girls to a woman's conference Thursday--- But, after talking to Principal Calhoun , I said yes -- will be glad to go. I am teacher of the year and this is part of my overall experiences. A blessing.

Have not been out of class two days straight in a long time-- Mr. Adams is doing a good job in my classroom.

See everyone Friday.

Oct. 9th-- Great Practice--BUT I GOT CONFUSED!

THE NEW CANEY TOURNAMENT FOR NEW TENNIS PLAYERS IS WEDNESDAY NOV. 11---NOT THURSDAY. SOME HOW WITH ALL PAPERWORK AND ACTIVITIES-- I GOT CONFUSED-- TRIED TO CALL EVERYONE TO CORRECT ERROR.

We will leave Wed. morning for tournament-- We do have practice Tues. after school.
Will try to wait for buses so that we don't leave anyone.

Check with me tomorrow--- the time is flying.

Thanksgiving is right around the bend.

Thanks for support and great effort.
