August 14th:2015

Retirement the last four years has not been boring.
I went from walking the mall to subbing in KISD.
I missed the classroom and the kids.
Last March I went to a local Elem---where my kids went to school-- and was there for three months.  Will start again Aug. 31st-- as a dedicated teacher.

Sean is still in the marines-- wife and two children--- just moved from DC to North Carolina.
Dylan is in Mexico City--wife and four kids---- we have been to Mexico three times in the last two years---- enjoy the city and the people.( Army)
Dawn and Tai have three kids-- she manages State and Federal Office Buildings.

Robt and I have a few Health problems--- but, thankful to still be one the earth. ( On Top)
Just finished 19th year teaching swimming for KISD.

I am thankful for all the years in NFISD-- allows me to be a net success in other districts.

I still keep up with folks on facebook--Mrs. Stoneham, Mrs. Phillips , Mrs. Lang--etc---we are still friends.  Sorry to hear that Mr. H. Young and Mr. Joe Pedigo passed this year.

Will try to write more--- time does fly--the older that one gets---- wish that it would slow down.

Since last blog: Today is Oct. 19th, 2012

After our swimming adventures with KFHS-- we traveled and stayed at NEWKS to enjoy the country side and relax.  Local Water Park was interesting and not safe for a 64 year old lady.  But, overall the adventure was one for the books.

In Aug.--Husband and I went to DC to meet our 8th grandchild-- Rosemary Anne Hrncir.  We enjoyed the week and grandma loved holding and loving on Rosemary and her parents.

Mr. Chang is back with tennis-- glad that he is so dedicated.  Sorry that there is no fall tennis--- afraid that it will hurt his spring season-- but, I have to let it go.

CE King called me in Aug. about teaching tennis-- but, I said NO.  Thanks for the offer, but it is time for me to relax after 40 years of teaching and coaching.

Have been busy with gardens & walking the Willowbrook Mall with a great group of folks.  We lost Mr. Moses Jeffery a few weeks ago-- he was 86 years old and a great walker-- enjoyed all his stories and he lived a full life.  Loved his wife, children and grand kids, served in the Army, and use to have a great garden--- gave me many pointers.

I am still attending meeting with TSTA and KARE retired teachers----we have great field trips and adventures.  We just got back from one yesterday---the old Library has been reinvented down town and we visited the Houston Maritime Museum.  I was born and raised in Houston Texas and I am having new experiences after 64 years on this earth. I love the folks in both organizations and we always laugh and share a good time.

Also, I help out at my grand daughters Elem. School.  Owens in Cy Fair ISD.  I help once a week after walking the mall-- unless they call me to come in another day when they are behind.

I miss tennis-- but it was time-- Jonathan and Jae are at UT and going strong. Many of the players keep in touch.

My knee started swelling yesterday--- using Ben Gay and a heating pad.  It will improve or I will go to the Doctor Monday.  I did walk on it this a.m.-- only a mile-- but,  feel that I am paying for that action.

Thank you for many great adventures in Tennis, with the Wayne Bryan Family and as I taught Health for 40 years.  I am blessed for the time that I had to be involved.  My passion is always in my heart.

Keep in touch--- my email in lahrncir@hotmail.com--cell 713 256 2842

Looking forward to all the kids and grand kids coming home for Christmas and I am going on the cruise with daughter and her family in FEB.  My First Cruise.

God is good.

Always, Loretta Ann Hrncir

Finished teaching three sessions of swimming today: July 19th

Since I retired I have had gardens-- the tomatoes were to die for-- learned to walk the Willowbrook Mall with other older folks early in the morning--- Just finished teaching swimming for KISD--- going to Newks with my friend Marg.-- she has never been to the tennis camp that I go to every Dec.---we need a break after teaching over 160 kids to swim in six weeks.

Of course, there are field trips around the area--when I am not helping with mother in law in West Columbia.  Life is taking a different turn.  Jonathan still lets me know how he is doing--proud that he is going to UT in Austin.

Husband and I went to Poland in May for 10 days---great visit with son and family.  We are going to DC next month, when out 8th grandchild is born.

We know that we are very blessed.

Will try to keep this blog going, if they don't make it so complicated to log in.

Best Always

Love, Coach Hrncir

Letting go to my tennis program was the hardness thing that I had to do--- took me a year to want to let go.  Will always cherish many great memories.

June 12th: Up Date-- Tennis and NFISD

I brought the kids snacks, water and fruit during the year--- my last day with them was the first of April-- District play offs-- I left in a rush--due to a sick grand child.

Thankful that the kids finished their year -- had an Athletic Banquet-- and some still keep in touch. Johnathan's Mom sent me graduation tickets--but, I was in Poland for ten days. Very thankful for the act of kindness

After a year of going back and forth--- I am pulling away----I had my 40 years-- have to let the next people carry on. Always will be a special place in my heart for North Forest Tennis.

I am left with many great memories and experiences--especially with the involvement of the Wayne Bryan Family during the last 12 years.  I have been very blessed.

Started teaching Swimming for Klein June 11th---never a dull moment.  Every day is new and full of joy and heart ache.  Every day is a good challenge.

Kirbi and Marg Brown are my helpers---could not survive without them.

Gardens are doing great-- and I am reading alot and resting-- love the naps after swimming classes.

I am thankful for each day.

Thanks for your support over the years.

APRIL 3rd: Jonathan and La Shaun: TOP DOUBLE PARTNERS

LASHAUN LANDRY & JONATHAN CERON WORKED HARD ALL YEAR-----STRIVING TO GO TO REGIONALS AGAIN-----------------------SO PROUD OF ALL THEIR DEDICATION AND DETERMINATION.

TODAY, IN THE THREE ROUND OF DISTRICT PLAY THEY PLAYED GCM-- WON THE FIRST MATCH AND LOST THE OTHER TWO--- CLOSE AND HARD FOUGHT MATCHES.

SO PROUD OF HOW THEY CARRIED THEM SELVES-- I GET CALLS FROM OTHER COACHES----------THESE YOUNG MEN PICKED UP A RACKET IN THE 9TH GRADE AND WORKED HARD--------THEY WILL ALWAYS BE A PART OF MY LIFE.

THE HARDEST THING THAT I DID WAS RETIRE--KNEW THAT IT WAS TIME--------------------------------------BUT, LOSING THEM THEIR 12TH GRADE YEAR IS MY REGRET.

WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO GOING TO RIVER OAKS TO SUPPORT BOB AND MIKE BRYAN--- ALSO, SEE THEIR SUPER DAD AGAIN.

I KNOW THAT THESE YOUNG MEN WILL BE NET SUCCESSES IS LIFE--------------------------------------------------------------------WILL DO ANY THING I CAN TO HELP THEM.

I HAVE BEEN BLESSED.

Sun and Mon. I worked the TRTA Convention at the Westin at the Galleria---I am getting much better traveling to and from and parking and finding my car again.

Marg. and I had a good time together Monday--------------------enjoyed workshops and company of alot of older folks who don't want retirement benefits changed. We have a battle ahead.

District is next week and Bob and Mike come to town the following week.

I am so busy-- didn't know how I had time to work 50 to 60 hrs. a week for so long.
