July 22nd: LAST DAY OF SUMMER SWIMMING LESSONS AT KLEIN HIGH.

TODAY WAS A SUPER DAY.

SPECIAL THANKS TO ALL THE SWIMMERS THAT WROTE ALL OF US THANK YOU NOTES--THEY WERE CREATIVE AND ARTISTIC.

MY HELPERS THIS SUMMER WERE OUTSTANDING -- WISH THAT I HAD THEIR ENERGY.

SPECIAL THANKS TO ALL THE PARENTS WHO SENT GIFTS, GIFT CARDS,AND TREATS FOR ME AND MY HELPERS.

I SHARED WITH MY SWIMMERS THE STORY OF THE WAYNE BRYAN FAMILY-- WRITING A THANK YOU IS AN ACT OF KINDNESS-- AND YOU NEVER KNOW WHERE IT WILL LEAD YOU. I WILL CHERISH ALL THE NOTES AND PHOTOS---- THIS HAS BEEN MY 16TH YEAR TEACHING SWIMMING IN KISD-- AND I AM THANKFUL FOR THE SUPPORT AND APPRECIATION THAT I HAVE RECEIVED OVER THE YEARS.

I HAVE TAUGHT IN Columbia Brazoria ISD, NFISD and KISD--- and can honestly say that I really have enjoyed the adventures along the way. The people that I touch and that have touched me--- give me the strength to give it all that I have every day.

Of Course, being the adopted school of the Wayne Bryan Family has been a big blessing--- it is good to be appreciated and acknowledged for your efforts in working with children.

I have been living my dream in education over the last 40 years. Do not plan to give up the swimming when I retire in 2011 from my high school teaching position.( Won't entirely give up the tennis either)

Now, I am going to stay away from the pool and rest up---deserve to be lazy for a few days--- hope to visit son in Florida before my High School Job starts up again for my last year. ( Oh, forgot, Jury Duty tomorrow-- ugh)

Will clear up ear infection and catch up on naps and reading.

Will see my tennis players in Aug--- will let you know when we will practice--as soon as I know. Remember the physicals-----we start matches the first of Sept.

Stay Safe.

Tomorrow is July 22nd-- LAST DAY SWIMMING LESSONS!

Three two week sessions come to an end-- love the parents--students and helpers-- but want to avoid water until next year!!!!

Tomorrow is our big day---every helper says something great about the kids-- I love to talk---and ribbons are handed out--- lots of pictures--- kind words and great hugs. Many swimmers will be writing thank yous to helpers---- told them the story of the Wayne Bryan Family----student won a racket---act of kindness--writing a thank you--- ten years of the being the adopted school of the Wayne Bryan Family-- a blessing beyond words.

A little sad----- saying good bye for the summer---- but I am facing Jury Duty Friday Morning--- another great adventure!

Aug. is just around the bend.

Best Always

July 15th: My Mom died five years ago the 16th-- tomorrow

Know that she is among the angels---- and watches over me daily.

Last week of swimming is next week-- the five weeks have flown by-----be thankful to be lazy every day until we travel to Florida in Aug.

We have a new girl, Alex, dependable and dedicated-- called her at 7 a.m. and she was at the pool by 7:20--- My two great guys were going to Canada with their family-- Rachel is working many hours at Ross and Kirbi has Cross Country two days a week----- I need helpers--- we make more progress and the kids step up their skills when we practice more.

Guys left at 10:30-- and we ladies finished it up--even moved the lanes-----usually the guys help with those details.

I am thankful for this summer position---we can go on vacation and I can pay off a few bills---I am blessed to enjoy swimming and tennis.

I am living my dreams-- to be a teacher and a coach.

We had one child sign up for tennis classes and

we were rained out last week. This next week is pending-- will get this child's home phone and set up another time.

Session II went out with a bang Friday-- lots of smiles and hugs. Many thank you cards and a special family gave me a $25 Master Card-- a blessing.
There are so many-- I don't know who is who-- Ribbons were given out and I asked each helper to give comments about the students in an individual way--pretty special occasion with each class.

Spent the weekend with my mother in law in West Columbia-- she is lonely and we shop till we drop-- Big Lots and Hobby Lobby--- Lots of sharing and caring.

Last Session starts July 12th and Rachel is still with me and working at Ross---I have great helpers and super parents--- kids are positive-- parents pay for them to attend--- and they get results.

Continue to have a safe summer-- you are always a net success for me.
