February 5th; THIS WAS A GREAT DAY.

MY SUPER TENNIS PLAYERS AND I HAD ONE HOUR TO TAKE DOWN OUR SCREENS--WE SAVED THE WIND BREAKERS DONATED FROM THE WAYNE BRYAN FAMILY-- TO PASS DOWN TO THE NORTH FOREST MIDDLE SCHOOL---- OTHER-- OLD USED SCREENS WERE TORN DOWN--WITH MUCH HAPPINESS----- THE COMPANY THAT WON THE BID-- STARTED CLEANING OUT THE HOLES-- USING A POWER WASH MACHINE.

WE ARE VERY THANKFUL TO NORTH FOREST'S BOARD OF MANAGERS AND OUR A.D. FOR MAKING THIS HAPPEN AFTER SO MANY YEARS OF PLAYINGS ON DANGEROUS COURTS WITH HOLES. BOB AND MIKE WANTED TO COME OUT A FEW YEARS AGO AND I HAD TO SAY NO--DID NOT WANT TO TAKE A CHANCE OF ONE OF THEM GETTING HURT.

HOPEFULLY, NEVER AGAIN--BALL HITS A HOLE OR CRACK-- RE SERVE OR RE PLAY THAT POINT.

Workers will be working Sat.-- will notify the police department to get inside the gates.

Was a little sad to see the bench's and umpire stand removed--- our son who is in the Marines-- made them with his boy scout troop as his Eagle Project for our school--back in about 1998.

Time goes forward------------------------

Next tournament is the 18th---We will still practice after school--- working on control and ball skills--- I am looking at the back parking lot and maybe a gym -- if it is open. Do not want to take a bus somewhere----there are too few now.

Should be back on the courts in 2 to 3 weeks.

A blessing.

Coaches: Hrncir and Lang
